Questions and Answers
All clients need a patch test at least 5 - 7 days before the procedure. This can be posted out to you if you live a distance away.
We take every precaution necessary to ensure the micro-pigmentation application is as pain-free as possible. All precautions for a safe session are taken by using sterilised equipment, new needles, and a sanitised environment. Some clients find the procedure a little uncomfortable, whereas other clients report no discomfort at all. We apply a topical numbing cream, which contains a local anaesthetic, and is topped up regularly during the treatment to keep you comfortable.
We choose a shape and style together. At the beginning of the microblading procedure, your consultant will draw in a suggested shape for your new brows and then we work together to perfect this to your preference, and measurements are taken to check symmetry.
We choose a colour together by applying small amounts of different coloured pigments to the skin, near to your brows, and select the best match for your skin tone, features, and personal preference.
Our supplier's ingredients for our inorganic pigments are iron oxides, distilled water, alcohol, glycerine, and general colours that are found in all retail makeup. No animal testing, 100% free of heavy metals, vegan-friendly, vibrant colours, high pigment density, no turning reddish after healing process, maximum colour retention, and easy implantation into the skin with very natural results on the brows.
You do not have to hide from the world until you are healed. Many clients are able to walk right out the door, ready to show off their new brows. The area can be a little sore for the first few hours and then tender to the touch for a couple of days. We advise that no makeup is applied directly to the brow for at least 2 weeks.
Your brows may be a little swollen, red, and sometimes a bit white. This is all very normal. They will be considerably darker for the first week before they soften to a natural looking colour in 2 to 3 weeks.
A noticeable difference will be readily apparent immediately following the microblading procedure. You will see your final results after the healing process is fully completed, usually in 2 to 3 weeks.
As with all cosmetic procedures, individuals should not make their choices lightly. We always recommend clients do their research, understand the procedure, and compare different artists' work and portfolio when you comfortable. Our brow technicians will do their utmost to shape and style the eyebrows to the client’s satisfaction prior to the procedure. Every effort will be made to achieve an even appearance, but please realise our faces are never perfectly symmetrical. Uneven appearance can be fixed during the touch-up session. Pigment discolouration and colour correction can also be fixed during the touch-up session. Microbladed brows will eventually fade away if no additional touch-ups are done.
This varies from person to person and a colour refresh is recommended on average from 18 - 36 months after your initial microblading and top-up. However, the pigmentation could fade sooner if you take hormonal tablets or regularly use sunbeds.
Your body's skin changes over time and so will any permanent makeup colouration implanted into the skin’s layers. However, this natural fading process takes years and touch-ups are easily done as your colours fade over time.
NO! Semi-Permanent makeup is done using a cosmetic tattooing process and our eyebrow pigmentation artistry guarantees soft, natural looking eyebrows. When we implant semi-permanent makeup pigment in the skin, it appears more natural looking than even topically applied cosmetics.
During the procedure, there may be some minor bleeding. This will depend on the client. If a person is taking blood thinners on a daily basis, then some slight bleeding may occur. Bruising is rare but if a person is on blood thinners, then bruising could occur. There is usually some tenderness for a few days. The colour is much darker than you may expect for the first 6 to 10 days.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have alopecia, a mole in the eyebrow area, had Botox within the last 2 or 3 weeks, plastic surgery within 6 months, undergoing chemotherapy, or suffer from severe scarring, sore skin, elasticated skin, epilepsy, or diabetes. Time is needed to allow the skin to settle and heal. Due to possible fading from direct sunlight, we would also always recommend that there are no holidays booked within 2 weeks of the procedure. This also applies to any special occasions as the brows can look very dramatic in the very early days. It is also advised that any gym goers also take a break for at least a week
Clients are able to cancel or reschedule appointments at any time with a minimum of 24 hours notice prior to the appointment time, otherwise, a fee will be charged. When booking, you must provide a valid credit card that is in your name. No charges will be made at the time of booking.
